There’s something so powerful about spending time with people in the later stages of life.
I find so much wisdom in their stories — both the ones they tell and the ones etched into their faces.

On a visit to my hometown in Germany, I asked for permission to photograph at the retirement home where my mom volunteers. The staff and residents welcomed me with open hearts, and my visit added a little spark to their usual routine.

I cherished every moment — listening to stories, sharing laughs and hugs, and even shedding a few tears. It was a moving and unforgettable experience.
